IKEA to open new Colorado store – 9News

Colorado will welcome a new IKEA store in Fort Collins in 2026, part of IKEA’s U.S. expansion plan.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — IKEA will open a new store in northern Colorado in 2026, the company announced on Tuesday.
The 64,000-square-foot IKEA will be located in Fort Collins at the Front Range Village Shopping Center at 4250 Corbett Drive.
The smaller-footprint store will be approximately a sixth the size of the first Colorado IKEA store that opened in Centennial in 2011.
The store will be the third IKEA in Colorado, joining an even smaller, “plan and order point” store that opened in Colorado Springs last year.
Fort Collins’ IKEA will have 3,200 items for immediate takeaway including home furnishing accessories and 250 small furniture items. IKEA said the store will also sell meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs, veggie dogs, plant dogs, and cinnamon buns.
IKEA said the store will have a “central planning area with IKEA experts to assist customers in bringing spaces like kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms to life. ”
IKEA said it would like to open 10 new stores in the United States in 2026, including locations in Chicago, Tulsa, and Los Angeles.
“FY25 was a year of meaningful connection and growth despite a challenging external environment. We strengthened our ability to serve customers through new store formats, digital innovation and expanded rewards, all while reinforcing our commitment to communities and the environment,” said Rob Olson, Interim CEO of IKEA U.S. “Looking ahead to FY26, we will build on this momentum, focusing on continued investment in the U.S. to make IKEA more affordable, accessible and sustainable.”
