Tehran, having engaged in diplomatic negotiations with the U.S. regarding its nuclear program up until the strikes, vowed to retaliate forcefully against Israel and several Gulf Arab states hosting American military installations, including Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Bahrain.
A senior Iranian official articulated the zero-tolerance approach adopted in light of the aggression, asserting that all American and Israeli assets in the region have now become legitimate military targets.
