The South African Weather Service has issued a forecast indicating the possibility of morning fog in various regions across the country. Overall conditions are expected to be cloudy yet warm, with isolated showers particularly noted in Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal.

In Gauteng, residents can anticipate morning fog in select areas, transitioning to partly cloudy skies that will remain cool throughout the day, while the extreme northern parts may experience warmer temperatures. Specific temperatures for the region include Pretoria ranging from 9°C to 23°C, Johannesburg at 5°C to 22°C, and Vereeniging between 3°C and 22°C.

Mpumalanga’s forecast suggests morning fog will prevail over the escarpment and Highveld. The region is expected to maintain a partly cloudy disposition, with temperatures ranging from cool to warm, particularly in the eastern areas where isolated showers may occur. Morning frost should be anticipated in parts of the southern Highveld, with specific forecasts indicating Mbombela will see temperatures between 13°C and 20°C, Ermelo from 9°C to 18°C, and Skukuza ranging from 15°C to 27°C.

In Limpopo, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy, with cool to warm temperatures expected. Isolated showers are anticipated in the southeastern areas. The predicted range of temperatures includes Polokwane at 8°C to 22°C and Phalaborwa varying from 13°C to 26°C.

Residents of the North West province should expect fine weather that will transition to partly cloudy conditions as the afternoon progresses. In the Free State, the forecast notes the presence of morning fog in the east, with cool and fine conditions expected to evolve into a partly cloudy afternoon.

The Northern Cape will experience mostly fine weather with temperatures ranging from 8°C to 29°C in Upington, while along the Western Cape coast, morning fog patches are predicted. The day is expected to become partly cloudy, with Cape Town seeing temperatures fluctuate from 13°C to 20°C.

In the Eastern Cape, the western half will face cloudy conditions with morning fog, and the eastern half may witness light rain along the Wild Coast. The forecast for KwaZulu-Natal highlights morning fog followed by a mix of cloudy to partly cloudy skies, with isolated showers predicted.

As residents prepare for varying weather conditions, the forecast serves as a reminder to stay informed regarding potential changes throughout the day.
