New Apple TV 4K, HomeView, and HomePod Mini Details Leaked
In anticipation of Apple’s upcoming product launch event in New York, new details have emerged regarding several innovative devices, including a sophisticated smart home hub, a revised HomePod mini, and the latest Apple TV 4K. A media source has reported these developments just two days before the highly anticipated “Welcome home” experience scheduled for October 13.
Among the key introductions is an all-new smart home hub, which will reportedly carry the name “HomeView.” This device is set to feature a touch-enabled display and is positioned to enhance users’ interaction with their smart home systems. Supporting this adaptability, the HomeView will be powered by an A18 chip, similar to those found in the latest iPhones, and will include 8GB of RAM. Notably, it will allow for voice control through Apple’s Siri AI.
HomeView is set to be available in two variants: a tabletop model featuring a speaker base constructed from metal, and a wall-mounted version designed with a flat, square wall plate. It is expected that the tabletop variant will deliver superior sound quality compared to the current HomePod mini, boasting a variety of finishes including Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Rose. However, the wall-mounted option will be limited to Gray and Silver.
While HomeView is anticipated to be unveiled on October 13, its official launch is expected to take place around mid-November. It will come preloaded with a suite of Apple applications, although it will lack an App Store for third-party applications. Complementing this product launch will be the “Apple Home Collection,” a range of accessories developed in collaboration with industry leaders such as LG and Schneider Electric. This collection includes devices like a smart doorbell, deadbolt lock, and security cameras.
Additionally, a new iteration of the HomePod mini is in the works, featuring the advanced S10 chip used in the Apple Watch Series 10. This enhanced model will be available in a wider color palette, including green, pink, blue, white, and midnight.
The forthcoming Apple TV 4K will also see a hardware upgrade with the inclusion of an A19 chip, which is designed to support advanced performance capabilities. There are indications that this model may include built-in microphones for enhanced Siri functionality, as well as an updated remote control equipped with a speaker for easier locating.
With these developments, Apple appears poised to redefine its ecosystem of home and entertainment devices, responding squarely to increasing consumer demand for seamless smart home integration.
