Delta One introduces luxury upgrades featuring wagyu burgers, premium wines, and Porsche transfers

Delta Air Lines is undergoing a significant enhancement of its Delta One premium cabin service, aiming to elevate the travel experience for its customers. This initiative includes the introduction of gourmet offerings such as wagyu beef burgers and a meticulously curated selection of high-end wines. Scheduled to debut in the fall on transoceanic flights from Los Angeles International Airport, the revamped service is set to expand across Delta’s global network by early 2027.

The airline’s leadership has emphasized that this transformation is part of a broader strategic vision focused on delivering the highest quality travel experience in the industry. As part of its upgrades, Delta is not only redesigning its in-flight menu but also expanding meal pre-selection options and introducing new cocktails and wines. Customers will soon have greater flexibility, with the ability to choose their entrée up to 18 hours before departure—an advance of six hours compared to the previous policy.

Among the culinary highlights in the updated menu are options such as roasted sea bass, slow-braised lamb, and a selection of upgraded desserts, including a new dairy-free sorbet paired with Champagne Taittinger. Furthermore, Delta is enhancing its beverage service by adding exclusive offerings like Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon and an extensive wine list featuring 13 varieties from prominent wineries, including Silver Oak, which is known for its premium price point.

Beyond dining, Delta’s updates extend to in-flight amenities. Starting November 3, new Missoni-branded amenity kits will be introduced, showcasing Grown Alchemist skincare products and a Marvis dental kit. Additionally, passengers can look forward to the return of Bombas socks on select international and domestic Delta One flights.

In a bid to cater to the modern premium traveler, who prioritizes both choice and quality, Delta is expanding its luxury services, including an increase in its Porsche airport transfer fleet—from 40 to 70 vehicles by 2028—available at various airports.

The airline claims that over 200 flight attendants and staff members participated in the development and testing of this new offering, contributing to an improved and personalized customer journey. This comprehensive overhaul signals Delta’s commitment to redefining luxury travel in the airline industry.
