Eighteen New Communities Join the Fastest-Growing Shlichus Ahead of Kinus

As the International Kinus Hashluchim approaches, a significant development unfolds within the Chabad Young Professionals (CYP) network. In recent months, 18 new communities have joined this dynamic organization, underscoring its rapid global expansion. A media source reports that CYP, a division of Merkos 302, has now established itself as a global network comprising over 350 centers across six continents, dedicated to engaging young Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s.

This expansion is emblematic of a broader demand for authentic Jewish connections among young professionals who seek to navigate their personal and communal identities in an increasingly complex world. New chapters have been inaugurated in diverse locations, including prominent cities such as Munich, Germany; Milan, Italy; and several cities across the United States such as Fort Wayne, Indiana; Des Moines, Iowa; and El Paso, Texas. Furthermore, new communities have emerged in Panama City, Panama, and Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, marking a significant development for the organization since its inception in 2014.

The driving force behind this growth is a commitment to addressing the unique needs of young adults. As these individuals embark on pivotal life journeys—launching careers, choosing partners, and starting families—the relevance of community becomes paramount. CYP strives to provide a supportive environment where young Jews can live their Jewish identity with pride and joy, empowering them to take an active role in their communities.

CYP’s programming resonates with young professionals who desire not only participation but also leadership within their communities. The grassroots approach allows these individuals to collaborate closely with Shluchim to build vibrant networks from the ground up. This model reflects the vision of the Rebbe, fostering an environment where every member has a stake in shaping their community.

The urgency for such connections is further highlighted by the enthusiastic response to the upcoming CYP Encounter, slated for January 15-17, 2027, which has seen registration figures soar, indicating a strong desire among young Jewish professionals for community engagement.

In addition to building community, CYP has launched Met@Chabad, an initiative focused on fostering meaningful relationships among young adults. Through curated events and mentorship, Shluchim are actively guiding participants in their pursuit of lasting connections, thereby addressing another vital aspect of the young adult experience.

As the Kinus Hashluchim gathers Shluchim from around the globe, the growth of CYP also signifies a response to the ongoing demand for supportive frameworks for young professionals. With increasing numbers of communities fostering connections and shared values, the message is clear: young Jewish adults are seeking belonging and purpose within their Jewish heritage, and the organization is committed to providing them with the resources needed to thrive.
