Google says it has fixed cause of an issue with several of its online services after thousands of users reported problems like server connections, file access and website access to Google Drive and other programs Wednesday afternoon.

People started reporting issues on Downdetector, a website that trackers user-reported problems, just after noon EST on Wednesday and, by 1 p.m., there were more than 2,800 users reporting problems with Google Drive.
Hundreds more had reported problems with the Google search engine, Google Sheets and Google Docs, and there were dozens of reports about Google Workspace, the cloud computing and collaboration tools used by millions of companies worldwide.
Google at 1:45 p.m. said it was “investigating access issues” with Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Docs that began around noon.
The company said it had fixed the issue as of 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
