Las Vegas in the 1980s and early 1990s was relaxing. You could walk down the Strip at street level, and the casinos were set back from Las Vegas Boulevard a hundred feet. There were even empty lots! It was a great place for a laid-back vacation in the sun. Now, the Strip is like the Grand Canyon, with gigantic hotels set up right against the street, and every property is built on and corporatized. Corporate greed ruined Las Vegas.”
