Nintendo Switch Online adds three GBA games in October 2026 update

Nintendo has recently expanded its Nintendo Switch Online service with the addition of three new Game Boy Advance titles as part of its October 2026 update. This latest offering includes the games Kururin Paradise, Metal Slug Advance, and Monster Rancher, all now accessible through the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics app for both the Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.

Kururin Paradise stands out in this release as it marks the first time this particular title has been available in Western markets. Previously exclusive to Japan, the game allows players in North America and Europe an opportunity to engage with a unique library title that has captured the interest of gamers since its original debut. This addition highlights Nintendo’s ongoing commitment to broadening its catalog and enhancing the gaming experience for a global audience.

In order to access these newly added games, players must hold a membership within the Expansion Pack tier of Nintendo Switch Online. This tier offers a variety of benefits, including access to classic titles from various Nintendo franchises. Enthusiastic gamers are encouraged to explore the new titles and provide feedback regarding their experiences in the comments sections on dedicated platforms.

Moreover, in conjunction with this update, a promotional trailer showcasing the upcoming Game Boy Advance updates has been released. This trailer is expected to generate additional excitement around the availability of these games and the overall value of the Nintendo Switch Online service.

The inclusion of these titles emphasizes Nintendo’s strategy to not only revitalize interest in legacy games but also to enhance the multiplayer and interactive capabilities that modern consoles provide. As the gaming community continues to evolve, such updates position Nintendo to maintain its relevance in an increasingly competitive market.

The release of Kururin Paradise, Metal Slug Advance, and Monster Rancher this month is likely to attract both seasoned players familiar with these franchises and newcomers eager to explore the rich history of Nintendo’s gaming legacy. As gamers dive into these offerings, the anticipation surrounding future content updates for the Nintendo Switch Online service remains high.
