Outage resolved after wire damage leaves thousands without power in Allegheny County – WPXI

PITTSBURGH — Thousands of people in Allegheny County were without power for hours due to wire damage.

Duquesne Light Company, in a statement on Sunday morning, confirmed to Channel 11 that crews were working to restore power to around 2,000 people in Mt. Oliver, surrounding Pittsburgh neighborhoods, New Homestead and Munhall.

DLC said the cause of the wire damage was under investigation.

DLC confirmed that the outage had been resolved Sunday evening.
