NBC has announced the cancellation of “The Hunting Party,” a crime procedural that aired for two seasons, according to a media source. This decision comes shortly after the show’s second and final season concluded on May 7, effectively marking its end.

“The Hunting Party” featured Melissa Roxburgh in the lead role of Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, a former FBI profiler tasked with leading a team that pursued some of the world’s most notorious criminals, all of whom had escaped from a covert government detention facility referred to as The Pit. The cast further included Patrick Sabongui, who portrayed CIA agent Jacob Hassani, as well as Josh McKenzie and Sara Garcia in supporting roles as Shane Florence, a prison officer at The Pit, and Army Intelligence officer Jennifer Morales, respectively.

As NBC heads into the 2026-27 television season, the network is reinforcing its commitment to a range of returning scripted series. Notable shows scheduled to return include long-standing favorites such as “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” “Chicago P.D.,” and the flagship “Law & Order” series, which is entering its 26th season.
