Woman, child struck by vehicle in Meriden McDonald’s parking lot – WFSB
MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) – Two pedestrians were struck by a driver in a Meriden McDonald’s parking Tuesday night, according to police.
Meriden police said a 62-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy were the victims, and that the driver had been backing up.
It happened in the restaurant parking lot on East Main Street in Meriden.

According to police the 2019 Acura TLX was driven by a man who struck his own mother, then a juvenile who had no connection to the man or woman. The boy had been walking with friends in the lot.
Both victims received medical treatment for serious but non-life-threating injuries.
The teen was transported to Connecticut Children’s Hospital for treatment of internal injuries. Police said he was in stable condition.
The woman was brought to Yale New Haven Hospital for injuries to her extremities. She was said to be in stable condition.
The driver remained on scene and has been cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
“The male driving the vehicle was also transported to an area hospital for an unknown medical issue for observation,” said Lt. Darrin McKay, Meriden police.
There were initial reports of a gun being involved. However, police said they were unfounded.
The department’s accident investigation unit was called in to help with the case.
