AI automation startup Relay shuts down; employees join Google Chrome team
Relay, an AI-driven workflow automation tool launched in 2021 with aspirations to rival Zapier, has officially announced its closure. According to a media source, the service will shut down access for paying customers on September 14, 2023, while free customers lost access as of August 15. The initial announcement regarding Relay’s termination occurred in July.
Jacob Bank, the founder and CEO of Relay, has indicated that he will be rejoining Google as the Vice President of Product for the Chrome team. In his new role at Google, he will oversee product development and developer relations efforts, leveraging his extensive experience in creating tools that enhance productivity through AI.
